CareerMinted ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. Unlike traditional resume builders, our architecture is designed for transience and minimalism. We do not force you to create an account, we do not monitor your job search, and we explicitly do not sell, rent, or trade your data to recruiters or data brokers.
2. Information We Collect
A. Transactional Data (No Account Required)
While you do not create a user account, we must collect specific information to process your one-time payment and deliver your product:
- Email Address: Used solely to send your payment receipt and the secure download link for your PDF. We do not use this for marketing unless you explicitly opt-in.
- Payment Data: We do not store credit card numbers. All payments are processed by our Merchant of Record, Lemon Squeezy.
B. Resume Content
We collect the professional details you enter (Name, Experience, Skills) strictly for the purpose of generating your PDF document.
C. Cookies & Usage Data
We use essential cookies to maintain your session while you edit. We also use anonymous analytics to improve performance. By using our site, you acknowledge the use of these cookies.
3. AI Optimization (Optional)
Our service includes optional AI features powered by Google Gemini. This feature requires your explicit, granular consent (via a checkbox in the builder).
- If you opt-in, your resume text is sent to Google for processing.
- This data is used solely to return improved suggestions.
- We do not grant Google the right to train their public models on your personal data.
4. Data Retention & Your Control
We adhere to strict data minimization principles:
- Active Session: Data in the editor is processed in browser memory. Refreshing without saving may result in data loss.
- Stored Resume Data: To fulfill your purchase and allow for re-downloads, your encrypted resume data and generated PDF are stored in our secure database (Supabase) and file storage (Cloudflare R2) for a maximum of 90 days from your last access.
- Automated Deletion: We automatically and permanently delete all resume data and associated files after this 90-day period.
- Immediate Deletion: You may request immediate deletion of your data at any time by contacting support@careerminted.com. We process valid requests within 30 days.
